DELEGATE: Tell us more about yourself
Just like every woman, I am intrigued to upkeep myself with beauty trends all the way to the latest haute couture designs.
D: How did you get the idea or concept for your business?
It all started when my friends were impressed by my own wedding and I began to receive more and more inquiries and referrals for to help in their wedding. Venturing into entrepreneurship in the wedding photography and cinematography studios, I then expanded with bridal company, The Louvre Bridal.
D: What is your vision/mission for your company?
The vision for my company is to create artistic, modern styles, luxurious designs and couture-like quality bridal gown that holds impeccable bride’s appeal. Also, having a mission to constantly breakthrough the market by bringing in new concepts accompanied by state-of-the-art ideas into the wedding industry.
D: How did you start it? What were some adversities you faced when starting it?
Well-equipped with the experience and knowledge in weddings, my partner and I took the approach to expand the business into a bridal boutique. As we were looking to introduce Korean Concept Bridal and Photography into Singapore at that point in time, we personally went door-to-door knocking on photoshoot studios in Korea to share our idea of bringing them into Singapore. It was a hurdle but we managed to overcome it.
Everyone’s first impression of the wedding industry is always very romantic and ethereal. But being in the wedding industry has taught us not only to enhance our software skill sets, the meticulous thoughts that go into our designs, but also training us on a physical level to endure outdoor photoshoot challenges and handling the 10kg worth of gowns up and down the racks. Hence, it makes it one of the toughest industry as it requires a high level of tolerance due to it being physically and mentally strenuous.
D: What has been the most memorable experience for you so far in running your business?
Knowing you are planning a wedding and seeing the successful wedding happening right in front of your eyes brings about an unspeakable feeling. Seeing the broad and bright smiles of our couples makes it a very eventful and memorable.
D: How do you define success? Who do you see as successful?
Success is when your efforts have been recognized. Being successful is seeing both your passion and wealth flourish concurrently.
D: Which habits of yours have gotten you to where you are today?
Being always on the move to think and to be ready to work on my thoughts at any given time and any place.
D: What is one thing you would like your customers to know about your company?
At all times, we strive to propose the best advice in keeping our Louvre couple’s interest in mind.
D: If you could give advice to fellow and budding entrepreneurs, what wold it be?
