With the theme #BeBoldforChange, women around the world are set to set new standards for gender equality. A morning of inspiration with the Clare Haxby Studio Singapore
Clare Haxby, a Singapore-based artist, in partnership with Kim Pearce, a social entrepreneur, teacher, and Reiki healer, will be hosting a morning of relaxation, inspiration, and ‘The Art of Possibility’. In this gathering, Kim Pearce will be sharing her experience as an entrepreneur who is focused on bringing positive change to the people and communities she meets. It is also about helping women find their purpose through maximizing their potential and those around them. Kim, who owns a line of fashionwear, will also be displaying her items during the talk. Sales proceeds will go to the Sparrow Sanitation Project, an endeavor that helps slum communities in India. The event is on March 8th, from 10:30AM to 2:00PM at the Tanglin Hill Condo.
A full night of fun and learning with Startup Asia Women
Startup Asia Women, or SAW, is a community of strong females who are involved in various startups. It’s a community of sharing, networking, and helping each other out. For International Women’s Day, SAW invites women to a night of learning, fun and games, great food, insightful conversations, and building new connections. Two guest speakers, successful women who carved out their own paths in business, will be sharing their experiences and tips. It is a great opportunity for aspiring and budding entrepreneurs to learn about growing their businesses, as told by the women who have already succeeded at it. The event will be held at &Sons, from 6:30PM to 11:00PM.

In conjunction with International Women’s Day, AWARE Singpore is holding a bazaar on March 11th, from 2:00PM to 7:00PM at 5 Dover Crescent. It’s a great chance to find unique jewelry, handmade and one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, yummy cakes and pastries, and even pre-loved clothes and books. The best part? All items are under $30 or completely free! Book signings, product launches, taste tests and talks will also be happening throughout the day. It’s a great even for the whole family where everyone is encouraged to participate and help out in different causes by women, for women.
An evening of empowerment for women by women
Do you want to become a bolder and stronger woman? Participate in a night of talks all about how to #BeBoldforChange. The first speaker is organizational psychologist Bhali Gill, who will talk about overcoming your fears, gaining more confidence, and becoming a strong and self-assured woman in the work place and at home. The second speaker is leadership trainer Karolina Gwinner who will teach you how to become a confident and charismatic leader. It’s all about finding yourself and harnessing your true potential in order to become the best that you can be. Proceeds for this event will go to the Associate for Women and Research (AWARE). It will on the 16th of March, from 6:30PM to 9:30PM.
