Shuttering Hearts is not only another photography team but more of a family who shares the same goal in capturing natural moments that are heart touching. After more than 6 years of establishing a strong foundation as an artistic wedding photographer, Shuttering Hearts was born.

D: What is the vision/mission for your company?

We don’t capture moments. We freeze memories.

D: How did you start your business? What were some adversities when you first started out?

It all started from passion which led to real talent. We were very fortunate to have several masters of photography in guiding and leading us into the basics of photography. Under their wings, we were lucky enough to be able to be recognized and loved by many.

D: Any trade secrets you can reveal?

Always do more than you should. Putting your whole heart and attention during photography sessions will guarantee you the best and most desirable work. Hard work and patience will be the two reliable buddies you can count on, on your way up to success.

D: Most memorable experience since starting your business?

Our very first destination Pre-Wedding video we did for our client-turned-friend, Jeffery and Sophia. Sharing a love for the sea breeze and wild sun, we went to Krabi, Thailand for the lovebirds’ Pre-Wedding. We were so blessed to be able to share this lifelong memory with them and having a relationship that would last for eternity.

D: What is one thing you would like customers to know about your company?

We are there for you in making your wedding the perfect one you have always dreamed and yearned for. We love to be behind the scenes and make memorable memories to which you and your loved one will always grin at after decades.

D: What was your first job?

Our first job was to shoot a famous and well-known Hong Kong celebrity’s wedding. As we were just new and fresh in the wedding photography field, we were so nervous and afraid to mess up her wedding. The celebrity, however, placed her utmost trust on us by telling us how much she admired our photography style and supports us no matter what.

Being injected by confidence, we took the challenge and were well prepared in all aspects to make her wedding perfect and flawless. It is our honor till today to be selected and trusted by her.

D: What aspects of your personality can we see in your work?

Besides being known for our natural and artistic photography style, we believe communication is always the ultimate key to making the best out of our work. Clients who approach us will usually be swayed off their feet by our charm and easy-going nature.

Some clients might request for us to photograph them in a specific way they personally prefer. Under such situations, we will always try our best to fulfill their request while still maintaining our artistic angle and photojournalism style.  D: What is one thing people don’t know about you?

It is more of a fun fact: We always photograph pictures in black and white.

D: How would you describe your personal style?

Definitely down to earth and easy to talk to! The thing that differentiates us from other wedding photographer is that we love to keep a lifelong relationship with our clients. We believe that having a better relationship can ease the couple down and be comfortable during the actual wedding day. This will allow them to act more naturally in front of the camera and have the best outcome. Most of all, we love to share the important moments in their life because it thrills us to see their joy.D: What are your hobbies and passion outside of work?

A wise saying goes, “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” To continuously nourish ourselves with inspiration and self-cleansing, we always go travelling. Locally or around the globe, everywhere is and always will be the best experience for us.

During our free time, our team will usually gather together for a picnic outside the wild green and perhaps even paint a little.

D: Which habits of yours have gotten you to where you are today?

Always, always remain calm and at peace. It really helped in solving multiple major crisis and situations.

D: How do you spend your weekends/free time?

Normally we will be out shooting during the weekends. If we are lucky enough, we might be able to catch our breath and meet up with friends during the free time.
